E90 320i High Mileage Maintenance

Folks few questions

E90 320i N46 Engine

Just replaced the Valve Stem seals & VVT Motor which were causing the smoke on start stop freeway driving.
Car has done 170,000 Ks and I want to know best place and replacement parts to change

MAF Air Flow Sensor Part # 13627520519 $$$ around US $ 300
Cam Shaft Position Sensors x 2 required Part # 12147518628 US$200 each

Although car is running fine but fuel consumption is still high. around 550Ks out of full tank.

No error codes but is it worth replacing the sensors for piece of mind and run engine more smoother?

Has anyone else used after market oem sensors ?

aftermarket sensors work fine and can save you a few bucks, unless you are a OEM man then get OEM
FCP euro usually lists the OEM part and the generic branded part side by side so you can compare prices.
Keep your old ones as back ups

Have you tried cleaning the MAF sensor? Maybe consider using Seafoam to clean out the carbon build-up.

550kms is not bad if it's purely city driving with all the stop and go traffic. No need to change out parts if they're not failing. I would take care the carbon build-up to help the car breath better.

check the chain guides as they are made from plastic and are prone to failure in the N46. also the ccv valve and hoses can get clogged up over time, pita to change but relatively cheap to buy for an aftermarket replacement.
