and those Alpines were over my budget here in the UK! it's okay, the Pioneers are really good
Infinite baffle is a good option to consider if trunk space is a issue. You could do a 12 in the ski pass.

i was thinking infinite baffle, i'm still looking into it... only 10" will fit in the ski pass but it would sound pretty good... still considering it...

If it's output you're after then you're right. If you want accuracy then IB is the way to go.

Oh god you have a very powerful sub!!

I thought about adding a sub to my car specifically this one since it fits in the trunk. Then i thought about how it would rattle everything in the trunk including all the hard top mechanics and window while the top was down and that is the only thing stopping me so far.

Our tops are super expensive to fix if something goes wrong, wouldn't a lot of bass be a bad thing? maybe i should get a sub thats even weaker. I'd just rather not risk breaking the top...

I thought about infinite baffle as well but again i read that it turns your trunk into the box and then your shaking everything even more...

how has your car been holding up?

You've been using your sub for that long in infinite baffle? WOW maybe the tops are a lot stronger than i had imagined. I just figured consistent booming over and over again for years would cause nuts and stuff to break loose eventually. This is good to know.

BTW do you have any pics of your setup? I bet you have a thread but I'm on my phone so i can't search. A link would work too.

Give me your email address. Also, bass in any normal setup in any car (any car not in SPL competitions) is never going to shake anything loose.

You need it. You can't use the h800 without the rux controller.

ahh gawd, i thought it was just something you get if you want to change stuff without a laptop...

EDIT: just asked a user and this was his reply:
'all the programming can be done via the laptop and IMO it's better and easier!

I just had the RUX for show never really used it!

Also depending on HU you are using you can have some basic controls over the H800 from the HU.'

there's a controller going on ebay, if it doesn't go to a stupid price i might buy it

I am pretty sure the h800 will not turn on without the rux or one of the older Alpine headunits that use ai-net.

Yes, you need RUX controller, or Ai-net HU, otherwise it won't turn on.
