Yes I have

The car must be a BLAST to drive on the streets, especially with this beautiful weather.

The guys at Evolve Automotive are absolutely phenomenal. Sal spent a bit of hours tuning my car on the dyno with incredible patience despite the time difference between here and the UK.

Everyone at VS Motorsports are masters at everything they do. I can't wait for them to help me out with a few new fun projects.

In conclusion, VSM + Evolve =

Seriously some fucking people.
No need to get an attitidue. You are the one that promised to share all of this information, but now for some strange reason and without explanation you've gotten all secretive. So do you expect people are not going ask what is going on?

Now before going and getting your panties in a wad simply because inquiring minds want to know the after dyno results, why don't you explain why you will not share the information before Evolve gets their hands on your car and does their dyno? If it's a matter of you are waiting to post them along with Evolve's dyno that's fine, just say so and I will stand-by.

The reason the car was done on a second dyno is for all our evolve tunes have been on a dyno jet. Since the first dyno was on a mustang we needed to confirm the results on a different dyno. The results we needed to compare to a dyno where we know we've gotten contestant results with evolve tunes.

Simply strapping down a car differently can affect the numbers and since the shop with the mustang is not one we use, that is another variable we have to look at.

Evolve has been tuning diesel cars in Europe since 2007. Its not an issue if they can tune the 335d but to make sure there is not anything special needed vs the European cars to the US. Which we already found out by Bench flashing the first DME that the hardware is set up a little differently.

Thank you for the reply and while I appreciate what you are saying, what does any of that have to do with why the customer will not post the after dyno results from the Mustang dyno?

This has nothing to do with Evolve doing their own dyno at a shop of its choice and everything do with seeing the before and after gains on the SAME "independent" dyno where the baseline was done. And the fact that Evolve has not worked with the shop where the baseline dyno was done is a GOOD thing IMO.

Furthermore, you do not have a baseline from your shop so what good is doing a dyno on a machine without a baseline? You CANNOT compare his post tune result to someone elses's car's baseline done on a different machine, Dyno Jet or not, because and as you even aknowledge there are to many variables.

I hope for all involved that the before and after dyno results (from the same independent dyno machine) eventually get posted otherwise this was all for not.

What it has to do with it is he is the first evolve tuned 335d in the US. Since he was the first person to make the jump he got a discount for being the first. If you were to be the first you would have received the same-thing.

This is not evolve choosing a dyno of choice but the one we use or recommend all our customers to use. The originally dyno this car was brought to before anything was the dyno jet. However they had no way to hook up for rpm signal. Now that there is a way to get rpm signal it was brought back.

The dyno we are doing is not to compare baseline runs to the after tune. We are looking to compare the curves.

There is no black&white answer right now because this is the first 335d evolved tuned car. If your looking for dyno information there is tons of information on UK forums.

Thanks Matt,

That's why I'm waiting to have all the info to share when everything is completed. But some people just don't understand that I guess.

I hear what you are saying and I appreciate this was the first US 335d tuned by Evolve. I also understand there may or may not be some bugs to work out, okay.

I do not care much about dynos from a european 335d, what I care about seeing is the before and after results of the Evolve tune on a US car from a shop that does not have any relationship with your shop or Evolve, that's all, and I am sure you can apprecaite that. Although it was not really made clear initially it sounds like the aforementioned information will be presented along with whatever data you collect during a 3rd dyno pull at your shop.

Anxiously waiting to see all of the data.

I am a new 335d owner and heavily weighing the options of an Evolve vs. Renntech ECU tune.

One last important issue in the decision; if I sell the car, or need to revert the ECU back to factory programming, will VS motorsports and Evolve be around over the next few years to do this for me? If Evolve pulls out of the US or VS motorsports goes out of business or drops the Evolve tune, who in the world would be able to revert my ECU back to stock, or even update it for that matter?

Renntech has been around for quite a while here in the US, I get the impression they do not carry such risks, but I could be wrong.

I have no affiliation with any automotive industry whatsoever other than being a BMW owner.

@ Concentric and VS

Thanks for putting this out there...yes we are all very curious (and ourselves interested)

What matters for the Dyno is the marginal gain. The only way to see that margin is to look at the car tested on the dyno that produced this PARTICULAR run (unless of course you plan on reflashing back to stock and strapping it down again in the stock config).

I would be anxious to see a Dyno other than mustang as a 2nd opinion, but its much less important than Mustang pre vs Mustang post.

Concentric...you're killing us! wish you would post what you have!

Good! The tune is awesome and I'm hitting the dyno again hopefully today, so I'll probably be posting up all the results in the next day or two!

Thanks. PLEASE POST them up either way, whether good or bad. It is worth sharing either way, as 'good' or 'bad' is a matter of opinion.

Oh yeah, everything will be posted. Just want to make it all on a single post in a new thread so it's all there and straight to the point.
