Trade Value
Just wanted to share todays experience and help give you all some insight on what this dealer offered.
The wife and I went to drive the '06 530i today and probably would have purchased if the dealer had moved a bit on pricing. We like the idea of a little more space and power. For my '06 325i with about 7500 miles I was offered $31750 as the trade value. Original sticker price was $35695 (325i, step, xenon, leather, htd seats). I thought the offer was OK, but he didn't budge from sticker on the 530i. Anyone else get offered a trade in value yet? I guess I'll keep waiting for the 335ci.

Thanks for sharing that Petercat. 11% is really not too bad considering the whack you take in the first year. They were probably giving you a great deal, but they might have done better to offer you a bit less on the trade and move that over to a discount on the 5. In the end, it's the bottom line that counts - and you're either happy with the final price (or payments) or you're not.
The 335ci isn't going to have any more room than the 325 though, and it will be a coupe (duh). If you have kids that would be a drag.

Just as an FYI to you all... I did find a 530 and a dealer to work with.
I ended up with $33,125 on my trade and the dealer came down 2K on the 530. Of course I felt this was an excellent trade value for my 325. We told the salesman we were going to nail him before we even started negotiating. I'm sure they still made their money though.
