H&R Sport Springs + Bilstein Shocks = Spacers?

Hello everyone!!

I am currently running H&R Sport Springs and Bilstein Shocks. I am wondering on here if anyone installed spacers in both the rear and the front. I was thinking about 10MM in the rear and 5MM in the front? Will that work??

Thanks!

Use the same size spacers front and rear if you can. You are altering the setup by 10mm overall. 5x2 in front. 10x2 in back. You will be 10mm wider in front, 20mm wider in the rear. You will feel the handling difference.

No you won't. Anyone would be hard pressed to notice the handling difference unless pushing the car to its limits.

Search for a thread called, "It's hip to be square". As in a square setup. Some say all you should consider is the overall diameter. But weight and the actual contact patch on the ground matters too. These cars are very balanced front to rear. Why short change the rubber up front?

I understand. I am just curious as if I am going to rub since the suspension settled A LOT since I installed everything. I can barely get my hand in the rear wheel well.

I am using 25mm spacers ( that bolts into the hub ) in the back, and none in the front for now. Drives perfectly.
Looks much much better.

I will be adding 15 or 20mm in the front very soon.

Here's a pic if you wanna see... H&R springs + Bilstein shocks.

I'm lowered on H&R Sport springs (getting Bilstein sports installed on Sunday) and have 18x8.5 ET35 with 12 mm spacers in the rear. However, I have 235/40 tires all around. Your stock wheels are 18x8.5 ET37 in the rear with a 255 tire. I'm thinking you should be able to fit a 10 mm spacer no problem

with your wheels and spacers you'd have 18X8 Et24 F and 18x8.5 ET32 Rear
that's an easy combo for a sedan even dropped

I have a Coupe (less room in the back) lowered with Eibach pro and I run the following Front 18 X 8 ET20 Rear 18 X 9 ET24 with 235/265 tires

That is what I was thinking as well; 10MM in the rear without any issue. How much could I fit in the front?

Don't do 10mm, it needs to be at least 12mm not to interfere with the stock hub.

I have a 5mm in the front and I was worried about the vibration, but as far as I can tell, there is none from before spacers.

I know performance is better with this setup, but, how is the ride quality? Crashy over potholes, same as stock? Firmer / more jarring than stock? Comfortable like a Subaru STI...hurts on bumps, but worth every penny because of the perception of sportiness/performance?

Yes, I know. I have no patience what so ever. I am just hoping their projections are right. Looking forward to getting them on with some H&Rs.

Anyone hear anything about the Bilsteins yet? I haven't heard anything from Bavarian Autosport as far as a shipping time.

My Bilstein sports were just shipped. Going to get them installed along with H&R Sport Springs.

Everything in, little lower in rear than I anticipated. Slight rubbing on bumps. Otherwise looks great. Will wait for settling to see if anything else needs to be addressed.
