drove 09 335i - not impressed

I know that many of you will disagree with me . But , this is what i experienced driving a 335i first time .
I've been looking to trade my 328 for 335i for quite some time.
Finally decided to go for a test drive . My local dealership had nice 09 335 with sport package . loved steering wheel and sports seats. Exhaust growl was much better than my 328 as well . Went towards highway on a pretty much empty winding road near dealership. Car felt heavier and somehow disconnected comparing to mine . Also, short acceleration felt better in my car (in ds mode). Floored on highway .. its fast but again, didn't made that "wow" factor. Over 75-80 mph acceleration is significantly faster than 328 ,but overall driving experience didn't impress me too much .
Beside raw power 328 feels much more agile and responsive.
Is this just me or i should test another car ?
What do you guys think ?

I think you're trying to start a 15 page troll thread, these threads all end up exactly the same. Also, the numbers disprove your analysis so maybe a bad car.

335:LOL MY CAR FASTR
328:LOL MY CAR STOP BETR MORE EFFICIENT

A stock 135i didn't 'wow' me either coming from a 400awhp machine, thats why I needed to mod it.

i owned cbr900rr for long time . i know it's a bike but i got used to on fast acceleration and high speeds . my friend owns a '11 mustang boos 302 and that car is a beast . acceleration and cornering made "wow" factor . 335i is nice but i cant see that huge difference that everyone saying. Straight line acceleration is not most important for me . I love to feel grip and sharp response when exiting corners.

Personally, I would not consider purchasing a car that did not impress me. Maybe you should look at an M3?

would love m3 .. but to get cpo with relatively low mileage is still out my price range.

two important factors that could affect your "driving experience":
1. N55 engine
2. AT instead of MT

I feel u, a stock n54 isn't much fun to drive. I only drive mine stock to and from the dealer. The rest of the time my JB4 is in and that's when this motor really wakes up. I'd say find a friend with a tuned n54 then make your decision. I think you'll have a change of heart compared to your first test drive

I dunno , I have a 328i Coupe powerbox + Injen , and it feels pretty quick, but when i test drove a cpo 135i I fell in love. I never got it cause of financial reasons. I would love to get into a 135 or 335 but my financial situation does not currently allow me to do so.

He said it was a 09' so its a n54, not n55. And either granny is fun IMO.

To me, the beauty of the 335i is how undramatic all that power is. It's very easy to drive fast, because you don't feel like you're driving fast. It's smooth, quiet, and competent. It's sneaky-fast; you glance down as you're cruising along and realize you'd better slow it down or risk a fat ticket.

It's a feature, not a bug.

To the OP: you are biased; since you already have a 328, you WANT to believe that there isn't much difference between 328 and 335.

I test drove an F30 335 last week and was telling myself that E9x is a better car. Why? Because I drive one, for now

I chose to stay fat, dumb and happy with my 328i. I'm afraid if I did drive a 335i I'd need to trade mine in.

Then why get a 335 if acceleration is not your priority? Find a used 328i M Sport model.

answer is simple - keep the 328 till u can get the M3 (unless you're looking to switch brands). I came from Audi and let me tell you, there's some serious road/steering disconnect there!!
