New Car
As some of you will know, I have been running a CL55 AMG since I gave back the 3'er in November.
It has been a great car, and the air suspension has been both comfortable and has done a reasonable job of disguising the cars weight. But I guess you can't cheat physics and it's no backroad stormer. I was also frustrated with the 'old tech' of the car - aftermarket bluetooth, poor sat nav, no ipod solution etc etc. So, as of today I have a new ride. Those of you that read my "GAP insurance on Contract Hire cars" thread will probably have already put 2 and 2 together. For those of you that didn't....I now have a C63 Metallic black, cream leather, Harmon Kardon, Command, 19" multispokes. Photo's to follow.

Is filthy already - I want to post clean pics!
Man, the noise is unbelievable. Will give any car nut a hard-on (or a wide-on, for the ladies ) at 200 yards.

I think more than just pictures is required, how about a recording of the engine!
The new C and E class are stunning, so glad they dropped the circular headlights. |

Thanks for all the congrats and kind words everyone.
It truly is an awesome car. I'm off to Stratford tomorrow, so I have a date with the Kossovans for a brush up before I go, so I'll get some pics up after that. Full write up once i've done some miles. Initial impressions are excellent. Best seats/wheel/driving position of anything I've driven to date.

Simon, as per my facebook comment, you can't let those buggers wash a brand spanker C63, ESPECIALLY a black one! It will be swirl central by the time they have finished rubbing their gritty chamois all over it!
Can't wait to see the pics tho, fantastic cars!! Did you get one of those mega lease deals that have been knocking around? They are soooooo tempting!!! |
