you need a heat gun, a razor of some type(i used a scalpel type blade), adhesion promoter, and patience. i didnt do a DIY because to be honest its very straightforward. you want to cover the surface, so cut enough material, and cover the surface. think of it like making a bed. tuck the corners, get a good tight fit, and then enjoy

Me too, my question is mainly revolving around corners and tight edges. I get a fairly large amount of wrinkling. How much excess do you guys leave, and what sort of cuts do you make to avoid the wrinkling?

If you heat the vinyl to 200 degrees after laying it down you don't need adhesion promoter. Heating it past 200 degrees will "set" the vinyl and the molecules will "reset" and take the shape of whatever it was stretched around.

Be careful with primer 94 (adhesion promoter), it ate through my cars clear coat. I'm sure it would eat through the trim clear as well.

As far as corners go, you make relief cuts. When you get to an edge, stretch it over the edge and make a relief cut 45 degrees to the corner. Watch some youtube videos. They should go over it.
