n55 335i intake questions
I've recently purchased a n55 335i and it currently has downpipes and a remap.
I've been looking at an upgraded FMIC but unsure of which to go for and what size. Any suggestions? Secondly is the OEM air filter sufficient or is it worth upgrading. I've read a few threads and the general consensus seems to stick with the OEM filter! |

5" should be more than enough for a daily drive with the occasional spirited driving and a couple laps at the track. No cutting required. Didn't even have to remove the bumper to install mine.
As far as the intake, the OEM air box provides enough air flow, but not the factory air filter. Replace it with a K&N performance filter and call it a day. Your other option would be an open air filter, but your car will be experiencing crazy heat soak depending on how hot it gets in your neck of the woods. |

Buy from the US it'll be cheaper than the UK equivalent..
I have an ETS 5", Most people seem happy with VRSF 5 or 7".
