Anyone on the Vessel: Fidelio? ETA NY 8/21 Brunswick 8/26

I believe that I'm on that vessel as well. My CA called me today to let me know that my car will be at the VPC on the 26th, but she couldn't find out what ship it was on. Hopefully it will be released by September 2nd so I can still get the 0.9%.

Is yours going to Brunswick? Check out www.2wglobal.com. Go to Customer tools and select cargo tracking. Use Ro Ro cargo and type in your vin.

I never got the VIN, I only have the production number.

You might be on the INDEPENDANCE II or the PATRIOT. The I II gets there on the 23rd and the Patriot gets there on the 30th.
Call your dealer back and demand the VIN. They have to have it to ship the car.

It must be going to Brunswick then. She must have made a mistake on the port. I thought it'd make more sense going to GA since it's closer to FL.

I got my VIN# today and checked it on the 2wglobal site, and it is definitely on the Fidelio. So it looks like we're on the same ship!

Want to meet up in brunswick or is your BMW heading to your dealer? I have to fly there so I dont know what day I will be able to pick mine up. I hope to get it before labor day!

The car is heading straight to the dealership. It'd be nice to get it before labor day though, I'm going out of town and would like to take it on a road trip.

How far is the drive back from GA?

Not sure if you found it already, but the call sign for the Fidelio is SLKR.

Seems like it just got out of the English Channel close to the Celtic Sea, according to sailwx.info.

I was checking that site daily for the last week or so but it always had a status of 1 Aug. It hadnt updated in 2 weeks. Thanks though because I had given up on the site.

HELL YEA!!!!

I bought my plane ticket to fly from Alexandria LA to Brunswick GA yesterday. I talked to the port agent and they told me that it takes 2-3 days for cars to be released from customs. 3 days would put the date at the 29th, the last day before Labor day weekend. I was assured that I will be able to pick her up that day!!

I fly at 0600 so it will be a very early day for me. I will only have to drive 375miles the first day as I am staying the night at a friends place north of Atlanta. I put in my leave yesterday too (Army here) and I was told it will be approved. It better be.

I still have to call the port to get the address of where I am going. I will have to talk a taxi to the port unless another e90 post member can pick me up.

Is the VPC and customs the same thing?

From what I've seen in the other threads from people who got their cars this month, cars have been released from VPC in like 2 days like you said. So hopefully the port agent is right and we can both be on our ways!!

I dont think so. I bought mine in Germany so mine just has to go thru customs. I believe that once customs releases the vehicle it goes to the VPC. I might be wrong though.
