RW Carbon - Positive Experience!

Hey everyone!

I recently decided to do some cosmetic changes to my prelci 335i. I already completed a lot of engine mods (RB Turbos, FBO, etc), so I wanted to give the exterior an updated look. I researched and contacted several vendors about doing an M3 front bumper and wanted to share my experience with you all.

One of the vendors I reached out to was RW Carbon. I PMed them and within an hour I received a response from Eric at RW Carbon. He was very quick to respond to my PMs and answered all of my questions. Pricing was also very good compared to the other vendors I had reached out to. I also decided to buy a V-style Carbon Fiber lip in addition to the M3 prelci bumper (which came with fog lights as well). After several PMs and getting a price quote, I spoke to Eric over the phone and he was very professional and answered my remaining questions. I was very please with him and highly recommend working with him!

I had my items shipped directly to my body shop. It took about 6 business days by freight carrier to receive the items - items shipped from CA to OH.

A few days later, my body shop did a test fit of the bumper. They were impressed by the quality of materials. Fitment was VERY snug, without much wiggle room. It was actually a little bit too snug underneath both headlights right around where they curve up, but I told my body shop not to worry about trimming anything because I would rather it be snug than having gaps. Even the underbelly holes lined up with the bumper - which I was afraid of because my OEM bumper was an Msport/Mtech.

My apologies for the poor quality iPhone 5 pics

Fitment pics:

Here is a pic of the hardware that was supplied with my fog lights - however I did not know what the metal brackets were for and had a random number of screws - so I did not use half of that.

I just decided to use zip ties to hold the fog lights in place - no biggie

All of the grills came with the bumper as well, with the exception of the kidney grills. They all fit very nicely without any gaps or issues.

While I had the bumper off, I also switched to LCI headlights and added HID Fogs

I have not installed my V-Style Carbon Fiber lip because weather in Ohio sucks. I did hold the lip up to the bumper and I'd say fitment is probably a 7-10 from what I can tell. It looked like there may be some gaps, but I will have a better idea when I actually install.

Overall, great customer service, very responsive, good pricing, and they had the parts on hand so my items shipped the same day that I ordered.

Thanks again RW Carbon!

I was soo torn between an LCI Msport conversion and the M3 front. I decided against buying an LCI hood, so I went with the M3 replica. Good luck!

My M3 rep from RW Carbon did not have holes for headlight washers. If they did, I would have had them filled because I dont ever use my headlight washers and the bumper looks MUCH cleaner without them, so I just coded it out.

Thanks!

I looked on their site and didn't see headlight washers as an option...so back to the drawing board. I don't like coding out things my car came with, whether I use them or not. Fitment looks good though...Post pic when you get the lip installed.

Understandable. My buddy does a lot of coding, but Ive had him do a lot of stuff for me

LTMW sells M3replicas WITH headlight washer cutouts. Might want to give them a call because they were slow to respond to me. By the time I heard from them, I had already placed my order days before with RW Carbon.

I endorse rw, they were top notch to deal with and the kidney gloss grilles were nice and pricing very competitive.
