Got a ticket for going 65 mph in a 50mph zone on 520 measured via "Pacing" (No radar/speed gun) right after the bridge tonight going Westbound.

Ridiculous.

Can anyone recommend a lawyer? I'd go to court myself but don't want to deal with it (Would probably cost me more skipping work to go myself). Should be easy to get out of as I've never had any speeding tickets, and I think this ticket is absurd.

Sorry to hear... I know a few really cool cops, but this guy sounds like a total dick. Were there lots of other cars? Were you going faster than everyone else? Chances are because he doesn't have radar, 99.9% chance that if you show up and plea not guilty the judge will drop it. I know it sucks, but 90% of the traffic ticket cases are not contested. Chances are the cop won't even be there and the judge will have no choice but to drop the charges. Just don't admit to even going 1 mph over the limit because it's admission of guilt. I got a ticket for running a Yield sign on a right hand turn lane once because the cop said the light was red. I told him he should go back to the intersection and look at the sign, but his comment was you'll get your day in court. He didn't show and the judge dropped the charges after I wasted 3 hours of my day. @ss holes know for the majority of people it's hard to take a half day off from work to take care of shit like this. Our cops have nothing better to do than to right speeding tickets for shit like this when there other cars on the road with worse offenses. Our F'n speed limits are set too low and are just a way for law enforcement to making extra money by setting quota's. They make it a game which ultimately makes people like you an I targets for big fines and increased insurance rates. Unfortunately if you get a lawyer you'll end up paying as much or more for him as you would the ticket, which could end up costing you double if he can't get it dropped. Most of the time they try to plea it out with the states attorney and make it a non-moving violation and you end up paying anyway without points on your driving record. But ultimately they will try to make you pay now that you're in the system. I know it sucks, but I would just show up for court and plea not guilty and have them set a trial date with a jury. The last thing our court system wants is a case like this going to jury trial. The only thing that could come back to bite you is if he's got video with speed showing him pacing your car. What did he tell you?

We're you doing 65? This part I the country has to be the most lenient place I have ever lived for speeding infractions. I have routinely done just under 10mph over the posted speed limit everywhere I go for the almost 3years I have been here. You want to see assholes go to AZ! You can thank AZ for the development and the monitoring of all traffic cams we have in WA. Idaho is really bad as well modified cars there get profiles like a mofo. My SUV never got shit for running no front plate while I was there but my mustang and Eclipse both would get tickets within two days for no front plate. We have it pretty easy in WA I have driven in every state this country has to offer but the truth is its hard to speed here in the first place cause everyone drives so damn slow

Officers are required to pass an exam where they guess a cars speed just by looking at them so technically all they need to do is show up and then its a crap shoot whether you will get out of it or not. It really depends on the judge but just because there is no radar proof isn't a get out of it free card that is fallacy

Dude..Since this is your first ticket, You can defer it. Which means you will be given one year prob period and if you don't get any speeding tickets then your current speeding ticket will be taken away from the records...

This option will be given to you when you show up in court. I dont think lawyer can help you with this thing except you will be paying some G's.

He's got a Avvo score of 10.0, he got me off my speeding ticket (dismissed) which I was totally surprised cause I knew I was actually speeding.

Expect to pay around $300-$350 for a traffic lawyer tho.
