Thoughts on Matte black or Gunmetal v710's on a Space Grey sedan?
Hey there folks,
I recently picked up a set of pretty beat up v710s (crazy curb & chipping paint) for a great price and I'm planning to refinish them myself. I've seen maybe one picture of v710s in gun metal on space gray and one picture of v710s in matte black on space gray, but I really can't decide which color I should paint the wheels. I know matte black on space gray is way overdone but I've only seen it one coupes unfortunately. I'm not too sure if my sedan can pull it off. The reason I'm considering matte black over gunmetal is because it would match my headlights since I recently did an "oss-treatment" to them. Help!! |

I think gunmetal matches the paint a bit too much for my liking. I've seen it done and it can definitely look good though. Matte black or gloss black is more of an aggressive/track look.
If you want to add contrast, silver might be a good choice. If you don't have any silver accents though, I'm guessing you'll want to go a different route haha.

I looked at your gallery, there is one picture of a black v710 on space gray, and to me it just looked really out of place, not sure if it was because the car wasn't lowered or what. Thanks for your insight. |

Gunmetal or gloss black. Please, please no matte black wheels. They're aggressive, yes, and kind of cool, but they don't work well in conjunction with the rest of the car, most of the time. Just in my opinion.

Nice on OSS treatment, we would have basically the same car haha! These are Satin Black Lc818 on stock suspensions. I have a love hate relationship with them since my car is not dropped. Let me know what you get, Im thinking about changing colors too... maybe dark gunmetal or anthracite like speedfan.

Oh man you'd have a lot of trouble getting around if your car was like that last chop haha.
