EDIT: Prestige adjusted and damped the oil lines. However rattle is still there, but now at idle after car is hot.
I want to stress this was NOT the fault of Prestige BMW nor the Dinan techs, as the car was quiet until only a couple of months ago. In that time, I have had some service performed by a couple of different dealerships, depending on my locale at the time, so anything could have happened. I jumped the gun, and for that, I was a fool. I am just so desperate to get the issue fixed at this point.
I dunno man...I mean maybe it's still the lines but I can't tell. Maybe someone in the Tri state area can ride with me some night and try to help me pinpoint it....

Wow, glad you found that issue!!! You'd expect the Dinan techs to know what to look for

Thanks brother- well the good news is the Dinan rep just texted me back and is getting the Dinan warranty tech team on it ASAP.

Great that you got it solved

Do you think this problem occured because of the quality of the Dinan parts or was it the human installing it?

Thanks bro. Definitely the way they were installed. The parts are fantastic quality. I was astonished at how much force I could feel through the lines when the oil was being cooled. It's badass though- and at least I know the cooling systems are doing their jobs

Glad it was something some quick velcro could fix! I'm still waiting for the part to be shipped from Germany on mine

Aww man Ron...hang in there. I might still go for it, as I hear that ticking too.
I fear it's not going to be that easy to keep these oil lines from misbehaving.

Ok! It wasn't really clear if it was the Dinan parts going faulty on you...

aw what the f--

If you can, grab a couple pix of the offending spot. I still need to reinstall my ER charge pipe and might as well take a look to make sure mine isn't doing anything similar. I'm not getting any rattles, but that hardly means I'm not getting any rubbing/wear.

Sure js- Basically the two braided oil lines (if you have Stage 3 and the Dinan oil cooler/ intercooler, otherwise it probably wouldn't apply).

Glad you found the source DK. Those oil coolant
lines are a pita in a lot of beemers. The X5 oil breather lines
burn up frequently with age and require replacement.

Probably need some kind of exterior wrap that allows expansion,
but protects from friction and vibration. Not a lot of room there.

You're not kidding Mike- the tech did a pretty good job of putting some cushioning in there though. Got a rattle at idle now, thinking it's just something loose under the engine compartment...
Got a Dinan strut brace too!

Well, I could ask about it when I bring it back to reinstall my oil catch can. No biggie- I honestly think it's just some stupid plastic piece. I slapped the top of the engine cover a few times and it seemed to stop

Yep I know it's kind hard to get a picture of it it's tucked back there by the firewall. The rattle is still there btw... Does anyone local want to take a ride with me and confirm I'm not crazy here?
So much for that
I can't help but think it's either the wastegate or maybe something with the exhaust ...
