Nope, this is a serious question. I used to own a C6 Z06 and several vendors produced bottom fed ram air intakes that would have hydrolock issues in severe downpours.

Just asking a question is all.

I can see the risk of an issue with bottom fed kits but this is nice and high up and don't forsee any issues!

FINALLY, a worthy product! Good job!

This is the perfect addition to the stock air intake. IMHO, in terms of NA E9x, Gruppe-M offers the best intake out there, its advantage? the air scoops. The other aftermarket intakes are pretty useless, all open design. Even Gruppe-M is not a true close-box design, but at least it's got the air scoops to scoop in cool air.

NOW comes this product, the stock airbox is sealed, and couple with these scoops, wow!

Just asking a question is all.
There are quite a few people who have had our v1 scoops for several months now. I have not heard of any problems with them. Last year, I did a demonstration by washing a car with our scoops while the engine was running. We had no issues at all. There was a pretty big thread about that on the zpost side. I think laidback stuck a hose in the air box or something and sprayed water into it.

Just make sure you are getting the right reflash and its NOT a piggyback. Also, gl with your dealer warranty.

We have tested several designs. The problem with non-completely sealed boxes is that its NOT going to "suck" cold air in at lower speeds. With a sealed system, your intake system will create a vacuum and air will be "sucked" in from the front opening. When its not completely sealed, the air will be sucked in from any and the closest opening.

We found our set up to be very effective as in low speeds, with the factory sealed box, air can still be drawn in from the front. At higher speeds, the intake system gets a bit of help from incoming air. Its always good to know some of you out there understand the work we do. You CANT force air into a 360degree filter.

Unfortunately we didnt get to test fit it on any other car. We had a chance to see how the scoops would work on the new M3 though.
