Not many shops around richmond does work like that. Kinda sucks. But i just retrofited a CCC unit in my car. Would you be willing to sell your idrive knob trim if you're not using the old knob?

Update:
Dropped the car off today at Sarek Autowerke. On the phone they told me they had autologic and could update the car. I get there and they said they used BMW software not Autologic. The difference being that Autologic is more hands on and can isolate an individual module, while the BMW software is a simpler interface and looks at the car as a whole. Later they called me and they said there was an issue with my VO (shouldn't have been because I already updated CAS/NFRM with CIC and combox VO). So they sent my VIN to BMW to get a VO for my VIN with CIC/Combox retrofit... I am going to pick up tomorrow regardless if they have gotten a reply and they said they would charge $80 ($180 if they can fix it) for there efforts so far... not impressed. At least the dealer didn't charge me when they couldn't fix it. I talked to Import Autohaus today and they have AutoLogic and charge $95 and they think they can do it.

To be clear, I am trying to get my CIC firmware updated so that it can talk to the combox as it is from a '09 car.

Deng, sorry they gave you the run around. I've only been there once and they seemed alright.

Update:
Was able to get a charge of $45 instead of $80 today. Taking it to Import Autohaus on Monday 8am... wish me luck.
