Ok, but I wouldn't mind having things available like steering wheel commands (promised like...6 months ago??), exhaust flap enable/disable, autotuning...

And we're not even talking about the bugs here...

So I say, it's really getting time for Vishnu to deliver!!

I don't really see a problem with Shiv's / Vishnu's performance and delivery here. They have a non beta product that works perfectly fine 12-17 while it might not be the newest and greatest the other products are still in BETA. I'm pretty sure the back end of the software will change drastically when they are releasing a new fuel system. In the long run this is very good, it allows companies like ours to make a single turbo kit without the worry of fuel and tuning. We have been talking with the Vishnu guys behind the scenes and can't wait for them to release the new fuel system so we can begin development and tuning. It makes no sense for to come out with our own auxiliary fuel system when Shiv and team can build a kit that works with the Procede for a great price. The more requests and arguments we make just going to put him farther behind.

I'm running the 12-17 maps right now and couldn't be happier. 400hp on pump gas and good throttle response, no complaints.

Keep up the good work guys!

Michael

Why do they ship new Procedes with beta maps?

Yea that seems counterintuitive to me. It's not like 12-17 is not V5...

Because some people would rather have the latest and greatest without having to connect to a laptop...

and most of the beta maps feel like full release maps anyways

Will the 12-17 map cause issues/mis fires with the latest BMW software update?

I can understand him explaining that various things can cause a different feel when comparing one car to another, or one car at a certain point in time, then measured again months later, but if on the same car, you run one map, then 5 minutes later, switch to a different map, how does the car's hardware explain the differences we're feeling?
.
.
PS With respect to the Boost Control Gain, by the way, since bumping from 45% to 50% can improve things a bit, why not go higher, like to 75%? The user parameter screen shot seems to indicate that 100% is the max?

Nothing inconsistent just different interpretations of wording.

What he is saying through my post is that on the DYNO performance wise nothing has changed.

I'm not referring to you when I say this but a lot of people, especially online comprehend and interpret wording very differently.

For instance when I tell someone something will ship tomorrow, and they ask me for tracking the same day I get just a tad confused on why they are asking me for tracking when its shipping tomorrow!

I think instead of worrying about the interpretations and map differences just run the best map for you.

As far as raising the boost gain past 50 you might run into over-boost problems... might. So adjust in increments of 5.

All these maps will not do anything to peak power numbers...its about the way power is delivered in terms of boost/fueling/cps offsetting...some maps will have different feel then others as boost/fueling/cps isn't mapped the same way on all of them but in the end they will all produce the same numbers while going about it slightly differently...

Dzenno, I see you got the Procede AND the Cobb. What are your plans with them? In other words, which do you plan on going with (when Cobb comes out with their stage II or ATR, that is)?

Guys ...are all the above related to the fact that there is no "V5 map data"on Vishnu forums?

I was trying to find if there are newest V5 maps (as I was absent for 5-6 months) and there was completely nothing there.
Are the V5 maps completely retired?

V5 maps are all still in beta and nothing has come off the beta, hence there is no publication of these maps on Vishnu website.

5-10 is still Beta......Download link for these maps says "5-10 Beta"

6-14 is not yet announced by Vishnu, so I'd call them "Alpha"

Current and only official non-Beta V5 maps are 12-17 and available for download.
