A Few Mods

So I got my car back from ED on 12-23-06 so have had it for 8 days now so figured it was time for some pics and to show what I have been up to with it.

I'll put up a few more later since my wife is yelling at me to go to Target. Let me know what you think, I know, I didn't have time to wash it yesterday and had it tinted last night so need to wait a couple of days to wash it.

Thanks, Kevin

Looks nice. I like the blackout grilles up front and the blacklines in the back. Your tint is DARK. Looks really nice.
So even with ED, you got the US spec headlights?

Love the AW! I'm waiting for my white 335i sedan to get here
I think you should lower the car now to get rid of the gap

I don't know what it is, but when I look at a blacked out grill on the AW reminds me of hitler's/charlie chaplin's face... like the car has a small moustache or something :-\

I know its the wierdest anology, but w/e maybe its just me lol...

shave the 335i badge and get some euro spec front lights and that is one clean ride.

Thanks for the props folks. I am getting my springs installed shortly and still need to put in the xenon match fog bulbs. I know the euro spec fronts look much better, especially on AW, but man, they are pretty cost-prohibitive. I mean I can get an Xede for less.

How do you guys like the CF mirror covers on AW? That is one of my favorite mods so far .

BTW, these are the Sevas S-Stars **********s is selling. I would have bought from them but I bought them a while back when I was all mod hungry waiting for my ED. I am sure I could have gotten a much better deal from **********s.

Yeah, you get a US Spec car but you just get to drive it in Europe for a couple weeks before it is shipped back. Lots of fun on the 'Bahn. I would recommend ED to anyone who has the time. It pays for the trip and is an awesome experience.

That rear end looks great! Good job!

EDIT: You know, with the whole black and white thing going on, it would look just like a police car if it said POLICE on the side!

That's funny. Maybe I should get some lights for the top

And Chesmu, I am getting splitters but painted AW. I thought about getting the CF splitters but in the pics on the AW thread I really like the look of body matched painted ones better.

335i is pimpin. I'd get more black or Carbon Fiber parts to coordinate your Othello theme. I know on Ebay you could get a Carbon Fiber hood and trunk, and spoiler for about $600~$800 per part. I also saw some Carbon Fiber side mirror covers too for about $350 a set.

Alot more aftermarket mods available now than ever. I might get a HKS superflow airfilter element ($50) and BMW aluminum pedals ($100+). I just got my windows tinted recently and it makes the car look so much better and helps alot in the sunny NM environment.

Love the blackened out grill. No hints of Hitler or Chaplin. It rocks.:rocks:

That's one approach but then again, stock e90's aint exactly head turners. If you like your car plain and you don't enjoy modding, the very least you should do is blacklines. You owe it to your fellow Bimmer owners to fix those hideous stock tail lights

I really like the Sevas wheels. Very reasonably priced and reasonably light (24/27 F/R I think) and look to be well made. I had some ultra expensive wheels on my M3 that were multi-piece and had polished outer and I will never do that again, the maintenance is too much to keep the lip shiny. Even after I polished it with an orbital, on close inspection it still looks scratched and dull. I love the lip look and these are chromed which makes them so easy to clean.

Despite the already mentioned ghetto P/S. Car looks a lot better dropped like this. Black wheels, especially on AW, bring out that awful looking wheel gap. Nice ride otherwise, although im not really feelin the c/f mirrors.
