Engine Hesitation @ 70MPH - 2007 E92 330D

Hi All,

I have searched and can't find the answer.

I've noticed my car has a really strange hesitancy/lurching when at 70MPH in 6th (manual box). The best way to replicate it is as follows

1) Drive at 65MPH
2) Set cruise control
3) Gradually increase cruise control in 1MPH increments
4) At 70MPH there will be a lurch

I've sent it back to the dealer and they said they couldn't replicate the problem. It's pretty annoying as when you're cruising at 70MPH you get the lurching whenever the cruise control has to compensate for a hill. The only way to live with it is to cruise at 65 or 75.

It also does it on manual throttle and in other gears, this is just the easiest way to replicate the behaviour.

Has anyone else ever experienced this?

Does anyone with a 2007 330D fancy trying the above to see if the same happens?

Thank you!

You said this happens in other gears? So it's not MPH specific... Is it RPM specific?
