summer road trips = BUGS!! Help!!

soooo...
just got back from upstate NY and my car is riddled with nasty bugs that dont come off from a carwash at the dealership. one of the sales guys recommended that if i do this often then to go for the simoniz (apparently theres something else for much much more where they put on a clear cut out bra on the front and mirrors and comes with lifetime replacement) but simoniz costs about 300 and also comes with a lifetime both interior and exterior and they'll probably detail it first and then apply the thing.

i've tried to read up on it but all the posts are pretty old. anyone get this done recently? have they come up with a better improved formula? does this hurt the paint in the long run?

thanks for the help!! hate these bugs and then a little bit of sunshine on them and seems like nothing takes them out!

Use Chemical Guys Bug Bugger & Tar Remover & the Pinnacle Safe Scrub Bug & Tar Pad and those puppies should come right out. Much cheaper than $300, too!

thanks a lot guys...i'll get on that right away. sorry couldnt reply sooner. work kinda got busy. the only thing is that i just got the ride and even though i'm not gonna hold on to it forever and ever they said lifetime of car...so now i'm weighing the whole 300 buck one time...or twice a year detail...
although i might've been misinformed by this guy...maybe there are hidden fees...

Read the fine print on those lifetime gaurantees for products put on your car, especially by the dealer. Clear bras can work, but you WILL see them, especially if you don't take care of them. Any of the other products they spray onto your car have so many disclaimers. . .

CG Bug Bugger is the best stuff out there. It will very easily strip any and all protection from the paint, so it's crucial to rewax (or reseal) the area after using it.
