Winter wheels

I spoke to the parts guy at our local bmw dealership about winter tires for my upcoming 335i coupe. He told me that 16" wheels will be no problem on this car. I am questioning it a bit and I would like to consult the experts on this forum. Do 16" wheels fit on the 335i coupe? If so, do I need anything special to make it fit? eg. spacers etc.

As I currenly have a set of 16" winter tires, I will need to buy new rims for it. What is the bolt configuration needed to fit a wheel?

thanks

Should be a 5/120 bolt pattern. I don't have the time to check the size of the E92 335i's brakes right now, but if you can look them up, the rotors should be some indication as to whether or not a 16" will fit or a minimum 17" is required. By comparison my 330xi has 13" front rotors and 13.2" rear rotors while a 325's are...actually I don't know off hand how large 325 rotors are, can anyone chime in on this? Or even better, know for certain what size wheels a 335i needs at the absolute minimum? Wow I think I repeated the original question...

FYI..........I learned from posting here on the board that 330i with sport pak will NOT accept 16" wheels.

I'm curious to see if the 335 coupe can accept 16" wheels. Please keep us posted.

Anyone else here on the board would have some insight into this?

Your dealer should know best... (he has ETK...) Here in Germany we have the option of fitting steel or alloy wheels... for winter.... try Michelin!

I believe 17" wheels are the smallest u can put on a 335i. The brake discs look huge on a standard 330i with standard 17 inch rims and the discs are bigger on the 335i 13.7 inches i think. 325i's can take 16 inchers not sure about the 328i though.
