Cali Car Duster

So we have a lot of tree pollen in my area... car duster is great for taking care of it.

Here's the problem: the sunroof has a felt liner that goes around the roof. It is a magnet for the duster - all the red strands get caught up in the felt. What is the best way to clean these out? When I handwashed the car, was able to get it wet and start pulling strands. There are just too many tiny strands. Any other ideas?

PS - should the car be blown off with a shopvac first to avoid scratches?

Use a rubber napping brush to remove dust from the short nap sunroof lining

I used to use the Cali Duster for the same purpose, but over time it destroyed my paint. Had to do a total paint correction on the car, which is never fun...

How on earth did you do this? It's intended to just be used to gently wipe off dust not actually clean the car.

well when i had my honda accord back in the day, i didnt wax it too often, so whenever i used it to remove pollen, it would rub the pollen all over the unprotected paint, thus causing severe scratching on the clear coat.

and no kidding hence the name "Duster"
