quick response needed!! yes or no

sorry but more people view here so i decided to post because i need a quick yes or no

06 330 has flat, run flat blew out but made it home, car is in driveway, wont be able to get it serviced until monday, going through my warranty i purchased and the insurance department seems to be nonexistent on fri at 330....i dont want my car to sit on a deflated tire for longer then it needs to...can i jack up an inch to alleviate the pressure on the rim for the wknd? any ill effects from doing so? would you just keep the rim sitting on tire (which is actually sitting on rug...yup...rugs in my garage ha) is this ok???

Yikes, if you have jack stands I would jack up the rear for the time being. Don't want to risk a bent rim, however letting it sit on it for that little of a time may not be that bad for it. I can't give a positive response so I would wait for someone who knows for sure.

its the front right tire...not the rear...my options would be ...

A) to jack the front right just a lil bit to ease the pressure....not jack jack like im removing the tire...just enough to be nice to the rim....

B) let sit as it is...on deflated tire on old rug until monday when the shop can fix....

You got a flat tire. Not a blow out.

I left my car on a flat RFT for 3 days. Drove it about 10 miles for new tires on the 4th. Just move the car a few inches back and forth so its not on the same spot the entire time or you'll wind up with a completely flat spot.

Doesn't sound like a bad idea and I'd probably do the same thing, but I don't think it's going to hurt your rim anyhow - especially being on the rug. Yes, do it...

The side walls on a RFT are very stiff - your car will be fine as is, don't stress over it.

Depends - and this is exactly the reason why some shops wont repair a RFT.

After sitting on a completely deflated RFT for a few days, there is likely to be sidewall damage.

Why don't you take the wheel off and go to a tire place and have it repaired tonight or tomorrow?

You're gonna jack it up to change the tire anyway no?
Do it now.
As cb1111 said, it miiiiight not be good for the tire, but the rim is ok for sure.

no the tire is shot...the tire cannot be repaired....i have no problem repairing runflats...had two of them plugged last year and the plugs held up great! however, the sidewall has a nice gash...neither of the shops near my house (Mr. tire, Firestone)carry my runflat...they would have to order them....and i dont want to run to bmw to pay extra for the same unit..plus getting to the dealership is a fucking pain in the ass!! i am getting reimbursed from my tire/wheel warranty but i have yet to work out the logistics with the insurance company issuing the check...before, i went bmw, they took a pic, sent to warranty company, warranty company responded, approved, tire fixed, all while i was drinking coffee in the lounge....

things have changed since my last claim and i have yet to be contacted back by the adjuster taking care of the claim...i want to know if i can take the pic myself or does the repair shop need to be responsible for the pic...odd to be hooked up on this one detail but i was wondering if they would reject the claim if the "pic" came from a location other then a licensed tire/auto repair facility....its 350 for the runflat installed and i dont want to create any obstacle that could prevent an approval for the claim...

so yes...i will wait...

If the sidewall is screwed, I'd just leave it. When my RFT's lost all air, they support fine, and you cannot even tell that they are flat. I wouldn't worry about jacking or anything.

Correct. The only thing that can get worse is the tire.
