idk. I don't recall the lag in the one I test drove, but that was a while back. Def not traction control. Need to get through break-in and start evaluating.

Agree that once it spools, it's powerful, and scary smooth. So smooth - on the highway, the torque is intoxicating. Second gear is an insanely tall 2.34:1, so if you're in D and start in second, it sucks. Pretty much need to drive in DS or mash the pedal, which is a no-no for the first 1000 mi. It doesn't seem the JBD does much down low, but their dyno plots suck - they're ordinated on speed, not RPM.

With the engine at 1700 RPM on the highway at 80, the cabin is so quiet. I've never been in anything like it before. It's so deceiving, you expect to hear that engine growl, and there's nothing. It's like a Prius with balls. But it still can't touch my Titan, unless you want to compare MPG's.

I'm still scheduled for mid nov. The boat won't hit LA until oct 27. If it clears port in 14 days I'll be shocked. My x5 sat there from sept 9th to the 24th. Then a week on a truck, or so it seemed.

Jason- You should make a deal with Terry on the JBD. Discount product for some dyno pulls/graphs. Jeff is friends with the guys doing ziptie dynowerks. They have an AWD mustang dyno. Could be pretty good press for that X5d mod.

My 335 took about 10 days to go from port to my garage, but perhaps that was abnormal. Regardless, I was hoping to have been in the Atlantic by now rather than sitting, waiting for a carrier for two weeks. I'm thinking something went wrong and they had to do rework. Guess I'll be extending my lease a month... or maybe I can get away with driving the wife's car for a bit. Oh well, what can you do?

Hey guys,

I just put on some conti extreme contact DWS's and seeing how they will do this winter with the xi. So far the car feels so much lighter and smoother. Tires are much quieter as well. The only complaint so far would be that it seems to have taken away some "feel" but that is to be expected. Both front rims were bent but they DT did a great job of balancing them.
