Here's my times from last Friday:
1) 335xi 6AT 2) Sea Level, 40* (FREAKING COLD!) 3) 25psi MHD Flash, RB's, VTT inlets, Fuel-It TBI & Stage 2 pump, AFE Stage 2 Intake, VRSF CP w/HKS BOV, VRSF 7" FMIC. VRSF DP's, Alpina Flash 4) e50 3/4 tank 5) No weight reduction. Full size spare in the trunk + box of tools 4) 18'' DRAG-DR37 8.5'' wheels-24.5lbs w/ General GMAX AS-03 235/40/18 5) 40+ drag strip runs 6) 11.6 @ 116mph(misfire) and 11.7 @ 125mph The 11.6 run was my third run. It misfired in 5th causing a CEL and a huge drop in MPH. I think if that run was perfect, I would have seen an 11.2-3 pass at 125+mph.

You can see my learning curve in the 4 runs, the first being the slowest and the last the fastest.

07 335xi full street trim. Wedge stage2+ tune, E50, K&N drop in filter, and Fuel It Stage 2 LPFP.
I'm the left lane. Another forum member, who I won't embarass, was the right lane on the far left and middle slips. He left traction control on for one of the launches. |

First time at the track on the 6th. Sonoma Raceway, it was nice and cool and ideal conditions for some drag racing.
Had some boost issues the first 2 runs and driver related issues the third and 4th run. Probably left a good .3 to .5 on the track. 1) 09 335i AT 2) 13', 65* 53% 3) FBO + Inlets, Fuel-It Stage 2, BMS OCC, VTT PCV, Diff brace, Alpina TCU flash 4) 9 gallons of E85 rest 91 ACN 5) N/A 4) Style 189's with Conti DSW's 5) too many to list, have over 20 yrs driving experience with both MT and AT 6) Here is video of the drivers perspective of the 12.41 run, you can hear the car stop making boost after shifting into 4th https://www.youtube.com/embed/Ks48zT3HWgM

Both trips were same:
1) 09 335i AT 2) 13', 76* 64% 3) FBO + Inlets, Fuel-It Stage 2, BMS OCC, VTT PCV, Diff brace, Alpina TCU flash 4) 13 gallons of E85 rest 91 ACN 5) N/A 4) Style 189's with Conti DSW's 5) too many to list, have over 20 yrs driving experience with both MT and AT Drag trip #2 Drag trip #3 Will be heading back on the 24th and 31st with some updates to the tune. I'm going to try mixing 1 gallon of 100 octane to 5 gallons of E85 to see if I can finally break 11's on stock turbos and street tires.

2) Pretty close to sea level, 15°C 3) BMS DCI, Catless downpipes and JB4 at map 2 4) 93 octane 3/4 in the tank 5) No weight reduction 4) 19 inch Miro 111s on cheap Delinte tires 255/30/19 in the rear 5) First time with a stick shift at the track I ran 13.02 and then 13.04 at 111 miles but then got this run and I could feel it was going to be fast. Pretty happy with the time. |

Agreed, and I have logged several runs, we believe there to be HPFP issues. I wont be racing today as planned due to the HPFP which will be replaced Friday/Saturday and I should be back out there on the 31st.

2: 619asl, 55 F, 70% 3: Wedge E50 tune, DCI, 5.5" FMIC, 3" DP's 4: 2/3 E85 to 1/3 91 octane mix 5:Nothing removed 6: Yokahama Advan Sport A/S 265/35-18's 7: first time at the track with this car Found my best 60' with 2nd gear launch loading converter to about 2500 rpm. Best ET's came when I shifted earlier. Ran a lot of 12.5's the last two times were using the converter and lowered my 60' .2 sec. And all of this was pretty much hot lapping back to staging area. 6:42pm, 6:48pm, 6:57pm, 7:10pm, 7:25pm, 7:33pm, 7:43pm, 8:00pm. My quickest runs were the last 2. Now that I know how to launch, I will do better next time.I might even let the car cool a little between runs. All the previous runs were 2.2 60 foot and 12.5's.

Forgot about this thread. Getting close to 11's on stock turbos and street tires. I anticipate hitting 11's this coming Wednesday, Oct 12th.
1: 2009 BMW335i Auto 2: Unknown, it was Sacramento Raceway, 930-ish pm, about 70* outside and car was heat soaked like a MF'er. IAT's were 150 to 170 3: FBO + Inlets, Fuel-It Stage 2, BMS OCC, VTT PCV, Diff brace, Alpina TCU flash 4: 12 gallons E85 4.1 gallons 101 octane (Full tank plus 2 - 5 gallon containers that were full in the trunk during this run.... FML) 5:Nothing removed 6: Arc 8's w. Continental DWS 06 255/35/18f 265/35/18r 7: too many to list, have over 20 yrs driving experience with both MT and AT Car pulled timing on multiple cylinders during the 3-4 shift and with the extra weight of everything in my car, bad 60ft's, and terrible IAT's it can only make me wonder if I would've run an 11 this time under better circumstances....FAWK!! My only goal for this car rn is to break 11's on street tires and stock turbos so I can move on to other upgrades.

I am stock right now but have the same goal as you Banana Clipper to break into the 11s on stock turbos. I did 12.97 on a mhd ots map no mods and was wondering what it takes to break into the 11s. Il be paying attention to your runs.

Get some Koseis with drag tires and drop your times a lot. Another guy I go to the track with has same mods and E40 OTS map but Kosei/drag setup and runs 11.6's

2009 335I stock turbo/ full weight
FBO with mmp inlets aem meth kit running 80% meth stock exhaust mhd/ wedge e60 tune (kill map) 275/40/17 555r / 17x9 arc 8 best time on saturday was 11.79 @ 120 with a 2.03 60ft torque limiter came on during the 2nd gear launch as well as some top end misfires which robbed some time. was hoping for 11.5 ....maybe next time out
