I've never had a dealer plate frame on any car I have owned. Never had any dealer try to sneak one on either.

Lol I'd be pissed if I paid for a nice license plate frame and then some dealer switched it out for theirs.

Yeah I don't see them taking off a personal frame but funny they changed it to their own dealer. I still have my dealerframe on the car its not that bad and I like it better than no frame.

i had a prestige one and they tried to ask me if they could switch it when i came to chicago at perillo, asked him why i would want some old mans name on my car...

at least they asked, you should ask them who told them they could switch it without your permission. pretty sure they dont have a right to touch it.

would go up to them and ask them if it was okay if i take down their sign in front of their dealership and put my name up or something fun. most likely something funny... i want to do this now.

. I'd say that without a doubt if it happened to me. Good one.

interesting

I went to Bloomfield several times and that never happened....imho that's a no-no, who says they can do that? Where it would be totally out-of-line is if they glued a decal to your trunk, can you imagine?

My license plate frame tells them I did not buy my car from you, you have to earn my business! LOL yeah, right.

p.s. I think Bloomfield is owned by JMK....

I had my Steelers plate frame swapped out at Advantage BMW Midtown in Houston. I was pretty pissed but lucky to have caught as soon as they pulled up the car. I pointed it out and the SA disappeared for a little and came back and told me to submit a receipt for a replacement and he'll reimburse it. After doing so he told me to swing by next time I needed a fill up and he gave me a tank of gas. Was a pain in the ass, but at $50/tank, it kept me from being too pissed off.

An indy did it to me. Couldn't believe it. Not that I was smitten with my stealership one.

Spurred me to go buy a nice Genuine BMW frame. They look pretty nice.

Won't be going back to that indy though.

Amazing, so what did you do with the Texans license plate frame, sell it on eBay?

I'll only rock a dealership logo on my car if they payed me to. Maybe $20 a month for the frame, $100 a month for sticker up to 2"*4". Other than that I like my cars like I like my women, bare. I even debadged an M3, logo messes up the symmetry.

My service dealership has a sign stating that they will change your plate cover/frame. Of course you can decline their generous offer.

It looked better than my sales dealership, and protects against rock chips (front plate).

To OP: Yes, they actually do this. I used to work for Lexus as a valet and that was one of our tasks. To be on the look out for worn out license frames to change them out. We walked around with a screwdriver. At the end of the day each license frame changed was worth a $1 each. lol

First thing to go are dealer plate frames and stickers. Once my daughter had her Honda Accord serviced and later I noticed a dealer frame they had attached, we took it off right away. I don't care for plate frames but my daughter did get me for my birthday a "USAF Retired" frame and it looks great.

So now I am up to four:
JMK BMW
Prestige BMW Ramsey NJ
Morristown BMW
Bloomfield BMW

Too lazy to take off the chrometastic Morristown one right now (plus it's raining).

Collect all four!

If you have a "man cave" you can use them to frame pics of your car.

Absolutely agree! Dealer aint paying me to advertise for them. I Took frame and sticker off soon as I brought the car home. I also don't use a plate frame, I'm surprised they don't put one on each time.
