2011 DVD Navi

Hey, Just want to put this back out there cause it's been a few weeks/post/pages ago. If anyone needs a copy of the 2011 Navi DVD for 2006, 2007, or 2008 with Red light and speed cameras, and they have been having issues downloading a DVD. PM me for a copy of the DVD, Region 1, and I can help you out.

I'm currently burning it at 2x. Lets see if it works. I wonder if im doing something wrong how do you reset the navigation again? do you leave the disc inside before resetting, or take it out then put back inside.

It is very sensitive to what media you use (brand of disc) and program used to burn. Burn speed shouldn't matter.

If it accepts the disc it will ask you to turn your car off for 5 minutes, when you start it back up it should run like normal.

Deductive logic tells me it may not be the software, but the media. If you read back through the thread you should come across names/types of discs and software that work better than others.

It was the software. I used disk utility and it worked.

Works flawlessly (both East & West versions w/ Speed Traps and Red Light Cameras). Burned it using Disk Utility with my Mac. Open up Disk Utility, go to 'File', then 'Open Disk Image.' Then select the .iso file you want (East or West), and it will open the image file in Disk Utility. You will then have an available .iso file to choose from on the left hand side of Disk Utility. Select it, then click on 'Burn' and you are good to go. It will take about 20 minutes or so to burn it. I used Sony DVD+R CD's. If anybody has any questions, let me know.

Once I get back into town this weekend, I will seed the shit out of it.

I know this may sound foolish but are there any risks to the nav system by using these pirate dvds. I was thinking of picking the 2011 version off of ebay from bmwnavmaps from ebay.

DVD Player

Your BMW's Navi is a DVD player. You are putting a DVD in the player. If it is burned correctly, it plays and you have your new DVD. If you buy one from Ebay, make sure it doesn't have a sticker label on it. In a hot car the glue can damage your DVD drive/player. Make another copy of it with no label on it GL.

sorry this may seem like a silly question. i just purchased my 2008 335i coupe yesterday.

I am wondering if I can install this version of firmware onto my iDrive?
I wish I can install the maps and speed cam for California.

Sorry, but No, your Navi is not DVD based. It's back to the dealer for you.
