Wheel Alignment off after changing Wheels?
Could I have taken my wheel alignment off after switching to my Summer Wheel setup?
Hi everyone, this past winter I purchased a set of OEM 189 Wheels with stock Bridgestone potenzas and TPMS mounted and installed. I installed the wheels for the first time this past weekend and noticed that the steering felt out of control a bit and would sometimes drift to the right as I approach a full stop. Since this was the first time installing wheels for me, I wanted to know if it's possible I messed up the alignment in the process. I did have to kick the s*** out of the old wheels to get them off because of the rust and salt on the inner hub. Could this impact be what took the car out of alignment? Or could this be a tire/wheel issue, or lug nut issue? If it matters at all this is a staggered setup (with less than 1% diff. rolling diamter) on an XI. Any advice is appreciated!

Sounds like you may have a tramlining problem. If you didn't have a pull prior to your new tires, it may be the specific tire compound and design you have now. I would recommend playing around with tire pressures firs and see if it helps.

I adjusted the tire pressure to my normal settings, but from the onset at 31psi all around they were having issues. I adjusted to 33/38 F/R on a factory recommended (on my doorsill) 32/35, and can hardly tell the difference so I guess that rules Tire Pressure out.
