I purchased a CarsCover (plural) 5-Layer Waterproof/Weatherproof w/ inside fleece lining custom fit for (F10) 5 Series.
Fitment is excellent! Overall very snug on the curves w/ minimal air pocketing around front & rear windshield transitions to the body,, mirror & antenna pockets, tight fit all along the bottom & velcro strap for underbody.

My Bimmer is a DD and not a "garage queen" (unfortunately). With that said, I've used the cover on 2 occasions in the past 2 years when freezing rain & ice build up was projected to be >1/4" for multiple days.

Personally, I'm not an advocate for regular usage of car covers + outdoors unless you're doing a long term storage and plan on doing a full compound, polish, paint correction, & ceramic/wax when you uncover it. Better just to keep your car clean & wiped down, imo (or under a canopy, if possible).

I can see a benefit for short term car covering + indoor storage (no wind or outside elements to cause scratching)

But that's just my 2 Cents - to each their own.

+1 to CarsCover (from my experience)

As you are in Canada invest in a really good quality outdoor cover to protect your investment.

You should consider California Car Covers, I had a cover from them for one of my cars that lasted for over 16 years.

https://www.calcarcover.com

Whatever brand you buy make sure that the cover has side mirror pockets. The mirror pockets help to hold the cover in place when windy and also the cover lies closer to the the sides of the car. Otherwise without the side mirror pockets you will have an ugly bulge on the sides and potential air pockets under the cover which can cause movement.

Also invest in a set on bungee cords and clips that you attach to the cover to hold it in place on windy days. Measure the width of your car to get the correct size bungee cord.

https://www.amazon.com/Bungee-Funitu...29&sr=8-1&th=1

Also depending where you park you might want to invest in a lock and scratch proof cable so someone doesn't walk off with your cover in the middle of the night.

You may be correct but I always try to give new posters a chance unless it looks like a totally obvious spam post.

In this case, aside from giving some links he also said,"And some brand on Amazon".

That is why I replied with information and a recommendation for a company instead of reporting him as a spam poster.

There are times where I have cars parked in the garage for six months at a time, and they get dusty within about 30 days. However, my dad's garage is the first floor of a mid-rise, and very susceptible to wind. The Duck cover doesn't work so well in that environment. I'm going to look at a few of these other suggestions for outdoor covers to use in that mid-rise garage.
