Auto Door Lock when driving
So I recently noticed that my doors for some reason aren't locking themselves anymore like they used to. I noticed that when I drive away and go past 10mph my doors will automatically lock themselves if they are not already locked. This doesn't seem to be happening anymore and was wondering if I could have possible disabled this feature on accident.
Please give me suggestions! My next resort would be to take the car to the dealership. |

I think that's something that is an option in the iDrive settings. Have you double checked?

That is correct. If you had anything done to your car that required disabling the power in the car then once the computers stop running they reboot and the settings get returned to default. I noticed this when after replacing my steering wheel my aux input tone settings were returned to default settings.

Yup, check your iDrive settings. There is a option there.

if you dont have the idrive then my assumption is that you can access the settings to that through the small orange screen in your instrument cluster.

It's in there. I think its in the last section. I found it once by accidentally clicking on it. However, its not what it seems. I think its an "A" symbol. "A" for automatic lock.

Sorry for thread jacking but I am having another issue close to that.
I have set in cluster that when I unlock doors using FOB the memory seat should be set to what driver 1 is set to. However, it doesn't work. I even set it to once I open the door, the seat wont go back as what it was set to. Any one know what is going on? |

Check your settings on the key fob.
Get in the car and turn it on. Make sure you do this while in park because the option wont show if the car is moving. Click thru the options and and choose the option that has a Key symbol with a check mark. There you can set the auto unlock and auto lock and the seat position. Keep in mind that the settings will stay on the key fob you inserted. If you change keys it would have other settings unless you do the same with all you key fobs. Hope it helps |
