Woodbridge Alignment
Just came back from Woodbridge Alignment and it was not a good experience.
So I called them on Wednesday afternoon and a very monotone, unenthusiastic woman picked up (sounded like she was having a very bad day). I asked her if they would do an alignment for a 2006 BMW 330i with active steering that has been lowered with 19" rims. She said yes and I could come in any day but today and their service is first come first serve. I ended up going this morning and got there at 8:15 (they open at 8). I pulled up to the nearest parking spot and when I got out of the car the manager (assuming he was since he was telling people what to do) who was driving a truck told me to move my car over because it "looked" like I took two spots. I said "sorry about that" then proceeded to move my car over, but after moving my car he tells me to move the car again to the left side, since the right is for trucks only. So that irritated me a little since he could've told me to do that since the beginning. After all that I headed inside and the manager was at the front desk. I asked him if he could align my car. I handed him the spec sheet and he chuckles and says "kids these days". Then he asked me what car it was and I told him it was 2006 BMW 330i (didn't mention active steering, lowered or 19" rims) and he chuckles again and said "why don't you go take your piece of shit and get it aligned at BMW". I told him "I did and I'm not happy with it and a few people recommended you to me". He replies with "It's not going to be done here and if you can't fix it send that garbage back to Germany". I just said "aliright thanks and have a nice day" When I got back to my car, I couldn't believe what just happened. I've never been treated that way before and I stayed very respectful the whole time, just taking all the shots. What really pisses me off was not once did he even look at my car when I told him I needed an alignment done. Now my car is still stuck driving like crap and the tire wear is terrible. Next up Bavarian Motors |

What the crap? Go to Kipling Tire. I brought my 335i with 19's, KW V2's, etc in, and they did a 4w alignment in ~30 min, and corrected the issue I was having. $70, nice guys, done.
I'd have told Mr. Woodbridge to go fuck himself. |

Why bother. Let those ignorant red necks stay with their 4X4 crowd and be as dumb as their trucks forever.

tissot: That's whack. If that happened to me, I would've been just as stunned.
picus: What sort of issue were you having when you went to Kipling Tire? I have Active Steering (AS) and I gave in to dealership extortion and had my last alignment done there. It was ok, but not quite 100%. Sounds like Kipling is worth trying but I wonder if the alignment process is any different for cars with AS.

When I got it home you could SEE that camber was off a mile and not the same on each side.

I don't think I'll be going back there any time soon and it's so far from where I live.

Bavarian is located at Woodbine and 14th. Supposedly they only work on BMWs. Did you end up getting it fixed? |

Sure did......
I'm GTA north & got a great alignment from Simone in Newmarket. They're not a BMW only type of place, but..... - they have the latest equipment & can get a lowered car on the rack. - they've built a full track Mini - they look after setup & alignment for a private, track dedicated M3 - the guy is as anal & fussy as they come, & took the time to weight the car down properly. When I rolled out of there, it was like I was in a different car.

I went to Bavarian Motors last week and they said they couldn't do it because my wheels are too big.
So I ended up going to Car Wings earlier today which was also recommended by a few fellow E90ers. The experience was great. The shop was nice and the people are awesome to talk to, especially the guy who owns the place. They were able to fix all my alignment problems. The steering feels stiffer, the car itself is more stable, I don't tramline anymore, my car doesn't 'wobble' whenever it goes over bumps and my wheels don't rub anymore, even if my car goes over a big hump. |
