How much does it cost to get my trunk repainted from bmw???

some idiot decided to key my trunk. its a deep scratch that goes through the primer. will need to get it repainted. just wondering how much it will cost and how long it will take. also whats the process of repainting the trunk?

Find a quality shop around your area. You'll save, probably hundreds, by going anywhere other than the dealership.

BMW does not do any repainting. Your dealer either have their own body shop (Not owned or regulated by BMW) or they subcontract it out to a independent body shop.

I would agree with that price tag from the dealership. A top notch independent shop would be around $300-500..depending on how much work they need to do before they can respray it.

Most urban dealers don't have a body shop. Take it yourself to a reputable body shop.
