what is included in BMW free maintenance?
my car has 35 Kms on it, 2010 MY. while at BMW to do the HPFP recall, the SA sends me a report saying that I need to change my power steering oil and my wipers. question, are these excluded of BMW's free maintenance coverage?
what else is excluded? how about breaks and rotors? or is the program good only fop oil changes? |

Everything except tires.
And...it's 'brakes' Edit - you're in Canada so I have no idea.

Wipers are covered as needed but power steering fluid is not (at least not in the US). So ask your SA if they are paying for the PS Fluid, if not, I wouldn't change it at this point, perhaps at 80~100 km. Tom |

Looks like OP is in Canada and I believe the BMW maintenance is a litle different there than in the USA. Best bet is to contact your local dealer and ask what's included.

One thing all customers need to be aware of is that some dealers have additional "suggested" (by them to fatten their wallets) maintenance items not covered by the plan that they'll try to sell you.
Just say no to those extra services that will cost you money. |

Of course I did not authorize the suggested services. They wanted more than 300 dollars to replace wipers and change PS oil....I can do both at parts cost (in fact less than cost as a friend of mine is a used car dealer and he gets parts at a discounted price).
I was just amazed that such items are not included...anyway the car is leased, as far as I am concerned, its their car and they should pay for maintaining it!! and yes its BRAKES not BREAKS, may be I was thinking, BMW BREAKS my heart, when I wrote that. thanks for the correction. |

They are wrong. Bring them a BMW ad. OTOH, it may depend on how you ask. When Audi had included maintenance, if you said "I'd like new wiper blades" you got charged. If you said "the wiper blades are streaking" then you got them free. |

In Canada the only thing covered is the annual service visit, essentially an oil change.
Unless you have Service Inclusive (now called Service Inclusive Plus), you pay for those things out of pocket. |
