Help! Scratched My Rims!
Hi i recently hit a curb turning too sharp and scratched my rims..
Here is a few thing i need to know 1. Anyone know a good place in SF bay area that can fix this? 2. How much would it cost me to juss replace 1 of these rims? 3. Is there anything i can do myself to repair this? |

Hey,
I have the same rims and repair shops here in So. Cal. charge around $125 a rim to repair. To be frank though, if you do any amount of parallel parking, eventually, you will curb a rim. I'm extremely careful, but it just takes one mistake, so honestly, with my current BMW and my last one, I just kinda got over it.

There's a DIY on repairing curb rash, it looks like new and cost next to nothing. . .and the guy did an INCREDIBLE job (same style rim and everything as you) search the DIY section.

That looks pretty minor, you could probably sand it and paint it a little (see the DIY). I personally just let it go, figuring it's bound to happen and it isn't very noticeable, especially as the brake dust builds!

Did the same myself. At the early month of my car, I wasn't used to the car, coming from a MKIV. I am just waiting for my time to get new ones and fix and sell the stocks.

Don't leave it, fix it! I googled the problem and found a guy that fixed both wheels for $100. Good as new. Curb rash looks like shit. Like most rashes.

Yes, if someone can post some info on this for a repair guy in the Bay Area, I would appreciate it.
I want to fix one of my wheels before I return my car. I don't want the dealer to claim I need a new wheel. |

Ouch that sucks but eventually things like that will happen along with dents, dings, etc...
If you can find someone that can fix it for cheap as all the other posts have suggested then your golden! |
