For Dinan drivers: dinan tune & MPG
For all the Dinan tune users: Since installing the tune have you noticed a drop or gain in mpg? The reason why I ask, is that I am looking to install a stage 2 onto my car. However i do use the car as a daily driver and put on about 40miles a day just for commuting to work. So mpg does a play a little part if i decide to buy or not.
PS: Lets stay on topic and not disuss how I'm wasting my money on a Dinan tune etc etc etc. thanks |

Seeing my fuel economy dip, I drove like a sane person for one tank of fuel, and my MPGs returned to their normal ~17.5mpg levels. Be warned, once you mod your car, regardless of flash or tune, your right-foot becomes much, much heavier...LOL.

I don't think your MPG will change that much to be honest. Look it all comes down to what your right foot tells the car to do. If you run it hard then yes your MPG will take a hit. If you lean it out on the hwy with cruise on I think you MPG will be pretty close to what you are getting now.

All depends on how you behave with the car. If it's in vacuum during your commute now, it'll be in vacuum with the new tune.
The Dinan tune does NOT, however, have a lean cruise mode (I know procede has it, not sure about JB3), which actively IMPROVES your highway mileage! With that said, Dinan is great for those dealership visits...they actually attributed my misfires to my DCI and OCC last time I went in! So ridiculous!

I get 19 mpg in combined (mainly city) driving and 24 mpg hwy @ 85 mph. I don't think the tune significantly affected my mileage, just my driving habits.
