Anyone actually use the Airman tire repair kit? It blew the fust on my fiance's Mazda

So I swapped her tires this weekend, and decided I was too lazy to drive to the gas station to put air in them.. the Airman manual states you can use it as an air compressor, just turn the car on while you use it.. start the car, plug it in, the second I turned the Airman on, it blew the 15 amp fuse for the cigarette power outlet, and then the 2nd accessory power outlet fuse, also 15 amp.

So I guess my question is, has anyone had to use this in their E90 yet? Are our outlets stronger? Which one?

/off to buy spare fuses for her car.

Ive probaly used the Airman air compressor 20+ times over the years on my e92 with no blown fuses. I'd return your unit for a new one if you can.

Ya I have one that is 6-7 yrs old and used it on an '05 Corolla the other week - and it blew the fuse too! Not impressed. I threw it in the garbage out of frustration (the air compressor, not the car)

I'm now looking for one that just plugs into a wall socket ...

Thats funny...Ive got 1 unit for each of my cars, which have all been used extensively and I’ve never blown a fuse. Maybe they don’t like Japanese cars???

I've had no problem. I've never blown a fuse using the BMW Cig outlet.
