Pcock, im the only child mate...what my parents say goes, the safety point is where they win in the debates. No bike will beat X5's safety in severe collisions. |

A mans bike
Go on Pcock DO IT get a Harley , then we can both do the coffee shop run. Mate i have had my Harley for 7 years best thing i ever did though i hardly use it but who cares its just a toy and there when i want it. Nice and loud sounds like a real bike, been around for over 100 years and great resale. Your an old fart like me these sports bikes are just to hard on the back, after an hour on the seat you will want to swap it for a ride on mower. GET your Harley just make sure it has lots of chrome , will give you somthing to do when its raining

I went from a cbr900rr and an r6 to my 1200 sporty. its def not as fast but honestly wayyyyy more fun to ride. I can be out for a whole day and not rly be sore. I have done a few things to make it look more to my liking and I am super happy with it. My personal opinion on vrods though is they look pretty lame. I have ridden two and I like the way my sporty handles a lot better. Also, stock for stock, a 1200 sporty will be faster. If your not into the sportster though look into the blackline. Personally I think they look great and I have heard they are a lot of fun to ride.

You must actually want a Harley to suggest that though, right?
If you are too pudgy for a crotch rocket, a cruiser style bike isn't going to be that good either. If you actually want comfort for pudgy, something like a BMW R1200GS where you can sit upright makes sense. Infact a while back I was working in KL and I used to regularly see the head chef at one of the major 5 star hotels: big fat guy and I mean BIG. He rode a R1200GS. Just admit you want a Harley |

I popped into the harley shop in alexandria today for a look at a Vrod but they only had a night rod special . not a bad bike, in fact looked pretty good in the flesh but I want to see a 'muscle'. the sales chap said that when they get one in it goes out the door the same day, doesn't look like I'm gonna see one any time soon
