H&R to Eibach?
I'm really over the rear-tucked look that my Bilstein Sport shocks/H&R sport springs on 19" VMRs are giving my e90 xi. On one vendor's site, it states the H&Rs lower the front and rear 1.3"/1.2", respectively, while the Eibachs are 1.4"/1.0".
Who here has gone from H&R sport springs to an Eibach pro kit? Has anyone mix and matched them with stock springs (aftermarket in front/stock springs in rear)? I would assume if the Eibachs lower the front significantly more than the rear (.4" compared to .1" difference), in comparison to the H&Rs, then just using both front and rear Eibach springs would be the best solution. Am I on the money? Any other non-coilover options that anyone has been successful with? |

Couple of folks have complained about the tucked look on eibachs too. I think it may have something to do with wheel offsets. I did the koni sport/eibach pro kit and def had the feeling of rear too low/tucked in. But this was only from certain angles. Then I got some spacers (12/15 mm F/R) and guess what no tuck and no apparent rake either. It is low no question but before there was something off about the rear WRT front.
So depending on your wheel offsets/widths it may be that some spacers could make a difference. It is weird with the tuck thing, like an optical illusion. Pushing the wheels out to the face of the fenders gets rid of it and in fact it is not too low, there is still 1 finger vertical gap and no clearance issues. |
