Evening, everyone. After seeing a sea of posts, I've come to the conclusion of getting 5000Ks to achieve 'true white' rings on my e92. Yet, I am unsure of which bulbs to buy, there has been mention of countless and countless brands here but no clear answer. Without sounding redundant, which brand D1S pair of bulbs will provide me with the best OEM 'true white' halo look?

Thank you in advance for bearing with me, this is my official first post and I am still learning how to use the forum.

Everyone knows what their stock AEs look like, so I'm not going to include those.

If you're going to post in this thread to crap on it, don't. Don't waste my or anyone else's time by doing so.

Vendors are more than welcome to provide better shots for their products for this thread, but this is not to show favoritism to any of them. Also, if a vendor wants a specific AE replacement to be posted because it's not the list below, that's fine, let me know, and I'll add it, but all listings need to have a true daytime pic as well as a nighttime/dusk/dark situation one.

Hello,
I just recently upgraded my stock Halo bulbs to a bright white. But what I did notice is that the inside rings are much brighter than the outside rings. Is that normal? The installers claim that it's the angel of the bulbs...How can I make them even in brightness? Picture to follow soon.

Today I have installed Orions V2 from "great" Umnitza to my e92. Unfortunately both rings are bigger, so you can NOT center them to the center of beam :-(

anyway never moore again!!

I'm looking to change my Angel Eyes. I don't really like the idea of having too much of an 'aftermarket' look.

Ideally, I want something that looks more like the new LCI e92 angel eyes where the color is more white.

Which AE would you recommend for this look? Thanks!

The LUX H8 V4 angel eyes are the brightest on the market so they will look the close to the new OEM ones. As well they are adjustable color so you can set them to be any color you choose.

Exclamation New LED for my first BMW

Hey Guys, I'm new to the BMW world and I decided to change the yellow Angel Eyes for white ones. The only thing is now that I received the lights, I'm not sure I should install them. I dont want to damage the rings and I've read some pretty scary stories on the forum.

Anyone can tell me if they're good or not?

Thanks,
Dave

has anyone ever tried these kinds of h8 bulbs? I think the cob leds might work better to disperse the light.

COB Lights are not focused light so the outer rings will receive next to no light, making them extremely dim. As well the picture of the car in that link doesn't even use this style angel eye bulb.... False advertising? I think so.

yea the e46 is pretty suspicious, but i was under the impression that unfocused light would work better for the ae light tubes. isn't the light from halogens not very focused either?

Yes the stock bulb is not focused, and that is why the outer angel eye is so much dimmer then the inner. I also expect the COB light to be much dimmer overall.

imo the stock halogens are more even than any aftermarket led bulb. I've seen several e90/e92s with led bulbs but im not sure if any of them were lux.

I got them for 45$ with shipping. Took them three week weeks to get here.

I installed them by removing the wheel and splash guard. Didn't take long.

The lights are super bright.
