Moose, I think you can order this from IND. they have to order the full "335d" badge, but then they'll paint it any color you'd like (<$100, I believe). I agree that its a nice finishing touch.

My wheels are getting sprayed this week, and I have a 335 emblem being painted to match just in case I decide to use it (not sure I will yet, but wanted to see how it looked. The emblem was about $25 from getbmwparts.com and they're spraying it for free for me since they were already custom finishing the wheels in the same color.
I picked up a gloss black emblem off of eBay. I'm just gonna put that on.

I was thinking of doing the d in green but I don't have any green on the car so I'll stick with my grey/black look.

Plus my vanity plate has enough dzl representation. It's funny seeing people in my rear view read my plate then see the d then look surprised.

I agree. I want to get a matte black badge, but for me it would be just one step too far for me to color the d red or green, although on somebody else's car it would look fine. I too love the expression on people's faces when they find out a "BMW" comes with a diesel. My next thought is...wanna race?

Yeah, except for the 335d I would rather just have a tastefully styled "Diesel" there instead of "335d".

I'll admit ///diesel would be pretty cool although I'm not usually a fan of grill badging.

Anybody have a 3d printer/scanner?

I REALLY wanted to remove the stock 335d badge and replace it with "diesel" in matching BMW badge font, but I can't find badges to spell out "diesel".

Hey, ladies/gents,

So my sticker contact is finding that he might have to charge depending on his costs for a large number of stickers, according to the polls, at least 2 dozen folks would be interested. Would you be willing to pay him directly? If so, what do you think a reasonable $ figure would be?

I've asked m to chime in here as he could also make custom stickers for whatever size, font, message, etc, you'd like.

FormerRotor,
I am down for license plate and sticker. I will pass on emblem on the grill, I think is too tacky for my taste.

Nice work, PR! Hopefully we can own up some options for folks. I know my vinyl contact seemed super helpful and ready to get involved for our vinyl needs. If you can get the emblems square we should be all set on the branding front.

Personally, I plan to use the vinyls for my license plate frame and engine bay.
