Same year, car and mileage as you, I changed my Diff and Manual trans fluid and I can safely say that changing the transmission fluid every 50k miles is worth it and would safely change the diff fluid at 100k.
Ignore until it fails or posts a fault code: Water pump, fuel filter, O2 sensors. If they tell you your water pump is failing please replace it, it just dies, there is no limp mode, you are literally stuck wherever the pump dies, the pump posts fault codes before it dies but does not light up the service engine soon light, which is just wrong. Change accessory drive belt and coolant hoses when they start to fray/leak/fail. Check this maintenance schedule out: http://blog.bavauto.com/9906/bavaria...nce-schedules/ |

Your air filter is in need of replacement at intervals of every third oil change (OCI per BMW CBS), which is about every 55,000 miles. Plugs, trans, diff, and coolant are all at 100,000. There is no fuel filter to replace - it is built into the fuel pump in the tank. The car will tell you the rest.
Also search. There are hundreds of threads on the subject of maintenace. |

While I haven't had this service out of warranty, I suspect it will involve 1~2 hours of labor with very few parts, if any. Tom |

Keep an eye on the suspension bushings and shock mounts and well as engine and tranny mounts. I have 167k on my car. The engines just flawless (knock on wood) but anything made out of rubber is at risk. I changed my front control arms, tension rods and rear upper shock mounts. My tranny guibo is dried up and cracking, my oil pan and oil filter housing gaskets are leaking, and the PCV hoses are cracking (already replaced one of them).
