Please inform me about how the jb1 works. Does it increase the boost by tricking the car into thinking its at a higher elevation? Any info would be nice. Dynos too

The JB1 is probably the most conservative of all the tunes out there. It increases boost by about 2PSI, and gains are in the range of 30-40 HP/Tq. It does not require a solenoid bypass and I believe you have to tap 2-3 wires in the ECU.
You are in essence correct on how it works. Its a very safe and mild tune, as peak boost does not go above 10PSI. Mike |

I "might" have the tune installed on my 335xi. Otherwise the car is stock. I did a few pulls against one of my associates 335xi. His car is stock except for cat back magna flow mufflers/exhaust. At most i can pull about a car length on him. This leads me to believe the gains at most are about 15-20 hp/tq. Im sure his exaust gives him some performance boost. We swapped cars and my car feels a good bit quicker. So what gives?
