E90 M3 arrives 12/08, will be interesting to see what kind of numbers that thing ends up with too.

Even though there is physically more of the car then of a coupe or vert, I would assume it will be more friendly on the wallet...

Would there be any 0-100 difference?

The sedan will weigh a tad more than the coupe, but not substantially more. The vert will still be a 150kgs+ heavier...
I think the coupe will be a tantalising proposition as i suspect they'll try and price it around the same as the C63, so a base price around the 140 mark is where my money is, as for 0-100 i don't think there will be a difference, just like the 335i sedan V coupe.

I don't think we will see the E90 M3 around 140. The C63 with Competition Pack (LSD, fancy seats and more) will probably be closer to the M3 Sedan base of around 155.

Yep, $140,000 sounds far too good to be true

The official figures are unchanged, but the fastest reliable 0-60 time has been recorded at 4.1 by Car & Driver in the E90.

Hi guys,

Having driven one what the C63 needs is not a competition pack but a sensibility pack. Something that makes it more liveable every day, most importantly an EDC style adjustable suspension.

And also some differentiators inside other than the seats and steering wheel, nice though they are. Interesting that with the new A4 some commentators are already pointing to the bland interior of the c-class generally. That would be my view as well. I'm currently driving a W203 c-class and am good to swap that for an E90 M3 but not a C63.

I think it'll be base at say 142k just as the coupe is 157k, which equates roughly to a 10% diferrential in base prices, which perfectly correlates to the differential in US pricing, where the M3 sedan is priced on par with the C63. Such a differential also ties into the pricing difference between the 335i sedan & 335i coupe.
That said, yes you'll be talking above 150k once you spec it up and pay onroads.

That makes good sense, though on road I think you will be seeing closer to 160k +6k if you want M-DCT (which I suspect many E90 owners will want). Coupe is around $180k on the road.

Yes, DCT is pretty much a given for sedan in this market. In fact I'd not be surprised if that's the only choice.

^ nice car from a country that makes excellent salami and tokay, but the problem with buying an Audi on the North Shore is SERVICE. The last 2 dealers (Chatswood Classic and Scotts) used the same service department, and they were useless. When I traded my A4 (bought from Chatswood) for an S4, I went to Bill Buckle on the Northern Beaches, to get away from the Artarmon mob. Not sure what Alto are doing about a service department, but wouldn't mind betting they pick up the dead wood from Carlotta Street

So confusing when BMW Imola is red, and Audi's is yellow...

The roadster is looks about as good as a turd on a log .. The coupe on the other hand is secks

Yeah, that thing is amazing....
a tad over 200kw with a tuned up version of the S3 engine.
0-100 in 5.2s for the coupe with s-tronic, 5.4 for manual
0-100 in 5.4s for the roadster with s-tronic & 5.6s for the manual
At flat on 100k that thing is going to be eating caymans and alike for breakfast!

Yeah, exactly my thinking, i'm thinking the roadster with s-tronic, as i've been saying my next car will be a vert for a long time. I guess the only concern i have is weather the next z4 that arrives next year will look as good, which i doubt. But the z4 will have a metal roof.
What i find amusing is the 2ltr turbo unit in the tts is putting out a tad over 200kw, imagine what the 3ltr turbo unit bmw use could put out if they even bothered to amp it up a little.

Being a long term BMW owner and reading their quartly magazine, there was once an article having a dig at MB for them using a supercharger (AKA Kompressor). It went on the lines that manufactures only use forced induction when they reach the end of the line in possible engine development. I laughted at this comment then but if this is the beleif at BMW, does this still remain today and is the inline 3.0L now at its end with the only means to get better performance to use forced induction ???

Remember the 2.5L is (almost) dead as they use a detuned 3.0L in the 325i.

And i think I read somewhere recently that BMW and MB are sharing some engine development program. Hmmmm.......Food for thought.
