Question For USB users

I just downloaded songs onto 32gb USB stick but couldn't get it to play.

I have USB slot in glove compartment and arm rest center console.

Glove compartment USB slot didn't even recognize my playlist but center console did... But although I could see my playlist and songs I couldn't get them to play

Any tricks I need to know to get this to work?

On side note I found some songs previous owner left on hard drive and this sounds way better than hd radio and certainly music over Bluetooth using either iPod or spotify with iPhone.

Didn't realize by base stereo could sound anywhere near decent until I found the hard drive music

When you say base stereo do you mean Hi Fi.

When you say base stereo do you mean Hi Fi? Or do you mean the ampless
and tweeterless stereo from 2010.
Bit rates for broadcast internet music vary a lot. I think you can get 320 bits(or something like that) per sec with the spottily pay for it service, anything else is less. A2DP Bluetooth is still less bandwidth than that. Signal strength will affect the quality of any radio signal. Have you heard the sound shift when you go into and out of an area where you can actually get a strong HD signal.
You can put any format of music on the USB that the pro radio or idrive will play I don't know what all of them are.

Try converting them to mp3 high bit rate 320

Try converting them to mp3 high bit rate 320 . I tunes has the option to make mp3's unfortunately you end up with two copy s in the same directory when you do that.

I found this utility useful

So our USB drive wont play AAC/MP4???. I am getting the "wrong format" error so it must not.

Is there a easy way to get my aac itunes music converted into mp3 fileswithout making duplicates on my itunes directory???...thx.

edit: today I didnt get error but rather it showed songs and looked like it wanted to play, but didn't...I am wondering if I would have waited more than 30 seconds it would have started playing???...I have read some people have reported it takes a minute up to 5 minutes to start playing.
