Gliptone is the best for leather, you may want to clean the leather before you condition it though.

Gliptone do a cleaner, no point conditioning dirty seats.

It's fine but you need to have clean leather before applying. You would not wax a dirty car.

I just think that Gliptone is better, just personal preference.

I find the Autoglym cleaner is better than Gliptone, but then use the Gliptone conditioner.

This is my Merc seat after 105k miles using just the Autoglym cleaner...

No shine, just nice, new looking matte laather.

I've been using the Autoglym cleaner and conditioner products bought at Halfords when they had some sort of deal on. Rather disappointingly they don't seem to refresh the heady aroma of the leather .....

I read somewhere the Gliptone products leave a better "new leather" smell in the car. Anyone able to concur ?

Yeah, was gutted when it went a couple of weeks back.

But was being sensible and wanted to go down to one car, was going to be really sensible and buy an old e39 or s210 merc estate, however, after a month trying to sell the X1 and being hit with low ball offers from private buyers (£2k behind what dealers were offering! ) I decided to just trade the X1 and get one decent car that would do everything and keep me going for at least 3 years till my daughter is out of Uni.

Decided on a nicely specced 530d M-Sport, got the finance sorted, but after driving one again realised I didn't actually love it.
Tried an A6 S-Line avant (new one) which was actually very good, very good indeed, but again just felt lacking after the Merc.

So I have bought another Merc.
E350cdi estate, silver grey with black interior but silver seats.....

It just felt more relaxing and more planted on the motorway.

Don't get me wrong, the BMW was the more focused car still, but for me, right now, the Merc appealed more.

I would be interested on your thoughts of the new 5 series after you have been in your 6 series, I think you would be a bit disappointed.
Great cars still, and didn't do anything wrong, at all, it just didn't feel special in anyway.

No, I bought it, I was going to lease an E250cdi, but doing 25k miles a year the E350cdi was too expensive.
This cropped up on a 10 plate at £10,000 under budget, I was looking for an 11 plate and up to £35k or there abouts, and this came up and we agreed on £24k and £17k for my X1, so the 'it must be less than a year old' criteria suddenly went out of the window!
