Strange noise when deccelerating in low rpm

I hear this noise in the lower rpm around 1000rpm. It appears when I drive or if I rev the engine. I cannot explain what exactly the noise is. I`ve managed to record a video to show you.

I think it is from the automatic transmission. Which soounds to me very expensive

The car is e93 325ia

i know the sound, been back and forth to various dealers and the all have have said its a characteristics sound of a 325a , all the cars had a listen sound exactly the same. this is after the changed the power steering pump and the alternator pulley guides...... the sound remained, i too believe its a gearbox issue on these cars but they sa not

if you get a different answer please post it here so i can stop banging my head

All I can hear is maybe a slight thump sound from the video? Is that what you are referring too?

Watch the video at 00:17 sec. in HD. Or look at the RPM arrow below 1000 rpm.

My car a manual 325i makes this noise garage said it was down to vibrations caused by dirty fuel lines which need to be replaced along with an updated bracket for the fuel lines. I am sceptical to say the least especially as the approved used warrantee will not cover the job. Have you had this issue resolved yet and if so was this the problem?

probably not the gearbox if it is making the noise when the car is not moving / in park / or neutral.

with that said, i don't hear the noise... crappy laptop speakers. I just hear the click click of the camera and power window.

Do you think if this noise can be caused by the throttle(drossel) valve?

Any news on this noise?

I have the exact same noise in my 2008 E90 325ia.

I've had it at a dealer 3 times and have changed the purge valve solenoid and a coal filter as the dealer was convinced that the problem was in the fuel return system. This has not helped and the dealer has given up.

It was a tube for the fuel. From the fuel tank to the engine.

A couple of days before your post the workshop called me back and told me the solution was to replace the fuel line from the tank to the engine and the fuel line mounting brackets.

I have now driven the car for roughly a month after they changed the fuel line and the mounting brackets and the noise is gone.
