cable chains question
I've got a 2007 e90 sedan and I'm planning to go snowboarding soon. I have a staggered setup with 225/40/18 in the front tires and 255/35/18 in the rears.
Do I need to get cable chains for all 4 tires, since I have a staggered setup? I've read on some posts that BMW doesn't recommend using cable chains because it will cause damage? is this correct? Thanks in advance! |

If you don't have awd, I don't think chains on the front would do much good.
I had to use chains once a few years ago. I put them on the rears only, same size as you. It was difficult to find a set that would fit, and even more of a pain to get them on. I would strongly suggest finding some new friends with more capable winter vehicles! |
