yea that is what i think ill do.. .just have very little gas for enough tune for pump, and then just add like 5-10 gallons of race gas.
for those of you in OC there is a place called Ace Auto off magnolia and adams they are a VP racing distributor and have every race gas known to man kind sitting on hand. when i was heavy into racing my audi I would buy 50 gallon huge drums and just have it in my garage for the weekends. Also there a plenty of places in OC with 100 on pump. beach and garfield at the car wash they have it on pump. |

CEA 3,
Have you inquired yet about how map switching works on the XEDE? I had a 1.8T with 3 programs (stock, 91 octane and 100 octane) that was switchable through the CC stalk. Now sure how many maps total we get with XEDE or how they are switched. |

2 maps total, and from what i read it looks like there is a switch located by the ECU on the harness.
Yea in my 1.8t it was great... i had an electronic boost controler Apexi AVC-R with 2 settings... and then a handheld SPS3 unit to adjust my timing. took about 10 seconds to adjust to race gas settings, and another 10 seconds to adjust back down to pump gas settings. |

How many people are indeed interested in doing a tune on 2 different maps for their car? Trying to get a head count and see how much interest there is in this.
**Update** Actually the likelyhood of a race gas map will not be possible, there are still somethings that need to be fine tuned before doing a high octane tune on a large scale and because of this it won't be happening. Sorry for any confusion.

I dont believe I will need two different maps. Not sure what I'd use the different map for since I'm not dedicated enough to find the 100 octane gas stations.
I guess I would want the second map to be factory for now.

Ok I'm sorry but I'm still a little confused. Given the XEDE capabilities of 2 maps, does this mean that I can switch between two maps of say, 91 oct and 100 oct, and completely disconnect the XEDE (aka turn if off) to go back to stock for essentially 3 options? If so, I would like to do a 100 octane map as well. Of course, the capability of changing between maps or turning the XEDE module off completely (before going to dealer) via a remote or other easy mechanism would be absolutely fantastic as well. Thanks all! |

**Important Message**
It's crunch time... The plan for this dyno day is to possibly make it a 3 day event; so that we can include those on the wait-list. The wait-list is starting to grow, and we still don't have enought confirmations to fill all three days. So here is the important part: If you wish you keep your spot you need to make your online payment by Monday, Jan 15. You can use the following link to do so: http://www.vishnutuning.com/dyno_day.htm If we don't fill enough spots we will begin to give spots away to those who are on the wait-list. |

A few updates,
The tuning time slot schedule is filling up, I've updated it with those who have placed their security deposits since the 11th For those wanting two ( an additional) maps, what Shiv can do is load another existing map onto your Xede without tuning it. I believe the maps available are 91, 93, and 94.

A few updates:
The overflow day will be on Friday Feb 9th, currently there is only 1 person confirmed (scheduled and paid) with 6 slots remaining. The tuning weekend is completely full, we have 14 participants over the two days and cannot fit anymore in on those 2 days. I've updated the initial post of this thread with disclaimer information that everyone must read and be aware. Link http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...96&postcount=1 The latest schedule: http://www.e90post.com/forums/e90gar.../tune_rev4.jpg If you have any questions, please post them here.

I'm first on the "waiting list" for the third day, but have a problem now.
I can't make that Friday so I need to swap with someone on the Saturday or Sunday tune day. If there is someone on the Saturday or Sunday tune day who is willing and able to switch to Friday, please PM me and I'd buy you lunch and a beer for your kindness. I know the third day is not "official" yet, but IF you can switch days, I will contact Vishnu make the arrangements and be sure the Friday IS official so you are assured of NOT losing your tune spot either way. |
