Post-DPF Removal EGT Data

I thought of posting this in the DPF thread, but it is so polluted now that I thought if anyone is interested.

This is over three hours of driving with a 20min ice cream break in at the start. Ambient temps were 32C/90F by the lake, with 17C-20C/63F-68F in the mountains and coming to about 22C/72F by the ocean. Lots of long steep mountain climbs with corresponding descends. No hard accelerations, but speeds were in the prolonged range of 120-140kph / 75-90mph.

This vs. RPM

This is just raw EGT temp data in degrees C

Max 424C / 795F. Also, this is with the BMWHat app and for the Pre-DPF sensor.

Was just about to ask you this info.

Good stuff man.

I'm guessing probably around 200-300F higher around the exhaust manifold before the turbos.

Try some logging when really romping on it... I'm about to do the same this week and we can compare. What's a solid peak range to be looking for?

At full fuelling we should climb up to 1000-1100F / 540-600C. This is based on the TDI's drag runs, but then again he is spraying meth and has a contributing effect in bringing the temps down. I suppose we shall experiment and see. I'll try to do some logging soon.
