Porter cable help

I decided I'm going to get the porter cable 7424xp. I have a jet black 335i. I tried to polish by hand and noticed that some of the swirls are gone, but theres a lot left. So if I buy the PC and a 5" backplate, which pads do I need. Also, i already bought polish and wax which may be shit, but its meguiars ultimate polish and meguiars ultimate wax, both liquid. I also, did not clay my car. So which pads would I need and would i need compound too?

Glad you're looking into machine polishing. I would recommend the following:

Lake Country Orange Pad
LC Crimson Pad
Meguiar's M100 or M105
Meguiar's M205
Menzerna SF4500

This should give you great results both in defect removal and finishing.

If you want to expand the arsenal a bit more, I'd say some White pads and maybe even a smaller backing plate with 3" Meg's microfiber pads would be a great addition.

I guess it all depends on your budget and goals.

Hope that helps!
